Summary

An SAP Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP solutions to optimize business processes across finance, supply chain, human resources, and other enterprise functions. This role focuses on gathering business requirements, configuring SAP modules, and providing guidance to ensure efficient and effective use of SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to design SAP solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Configure SAP modules (e.g., SAP FICO, SD, MM, HCM, or others) according to business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers to implement solutions.
  • Conduct system testing, data migration, and validation to ensure accurate SAP functionality.
  • Provide support for SAP applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
  • Develop and maintain SAP documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and process workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security policies, and internal controls.
  • Participate in SAP upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on SAP processes and functionality.
  • Stay updated with SAP product updates, modules, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes using SAP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementation, configuration, or support.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules relevant to the organization s requirements.
  • Experience with SAP configuration, workflows, data migration, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, business processes, and technical SAP tools.

Preferred Skills / Duties

  • SAP certification in relevant modules (FICO, SD, MM, HCM, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, or SAP Fiori is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
  • Experience in project management and working in Agile or hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with integration of SAP with other enterprise applications and third-party tools.
