Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an IT Incident & Event Management Specialist on behalf of our client in the United States. This role is responsible for monitoring enterprise applications and infrastructure, managing incident response activities, analyzing system performance trends, and supporting operational excellence across complex IT environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise monitoring tools, incident management processes, systems operations, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor enterprise applications and IT infrastructure using industry-standard monitoring and observability tools.

  • Analyze alerts, identify service disruptions, and support incident triage and resolution activities.

  • Collaborate with application, operations, and infrastructure teams to investigate and resolve system issues.

  • Perform operational performance analysis and identify trends affecting system reliability and availability.

  • Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, runbooks, and process documentation.

  • Support incident and event management processes to ensure timely response and resolution.

  • Review application and infrastructure logs to troubleshoot issues and improve operational visibility.

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.

  • Provide support during occasional weekends, holidays, or off-hours as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of professional IT experience; or equivalent combination of education and extensive professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration, operations, or IT infrastructure support.

  • 5+ years of experience monitoring system performance, conducting trend analysis, and managing alerts for enterprise applications and services.

  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, requirements, and operational playbooks.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with two or more application performance monitoring (APM) or observability tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Aternity, or SolarWinds.

  • 2+ years of experience monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting application logs using Splunk.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to meet applicable background screening and suitability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow.

  • Experience with SolarWinds and Dynatrace in enterprise environments.

  • Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools for documentation and knowledge management.

  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government-related IT environments.

  • Previous suitability clearance or public-sector experience is a plus.

Work Schedule

  • First Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time

  • Remote within the United States
