Summary

Location: Austin, TX Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer

Location: Austin, TX or Dallas, TX (Onsite 4 days/week)

Duration: 12-month contract

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience in software development with a core focus on Java and related frameworks.

4 years of experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and front-end/back-end integration.

4 years of experience in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and test automation.

4 years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and writing integration tests using Cucumber.

4 years of experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).

3 years of experience writing Splunk queries and building monitoring dashboards within Splunk.

2 years of experience working with MongoDB and SQL databases.

Preferred qualifications:

Exceptional problem-solving skills with a passion for resolving complex technical issues.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities, self-motivation, and a strong sense of ownership over project deliverables.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional team boundaries.

Responsibilities:

Implement new features, ensuring they align with industry best practices, internal technical standards, and overall project goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and successfully translate them into comprehensive technical specifications.

Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot problems with existing software solutions, ensuring all findings and investigations are thoroughly documented.

Perform ongoing software maintenance and resolve defects identified during the software lifecycle.

Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.

Mentor junior developers by sharing institutional knowledge and providing technical guidance.

Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively contribute to continuous improvement and engineering excellence initiatives.
