EDI Healthcare Systems Developer

Project Scope

This project involves enhancements and modifications to EDI healthcare transactions for the Client Medicaid system. The role focuses on making software coding changes to existing EDI transactions. Testing activities will include coordination and validation with external healthcare providers and trading partners.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Translator Team to implement changes, enhancements, and technical recommendations based on design and technical specifications.
• Perform debugging, unit testing, and integration testing of all coding changes.
• Support Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and External Testing efforts by resolving defects and making necessary code updates.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and implement requirements related to federally and state-mandated changes.
• Participate in testing activities with external healthcare providers and trading partners.
• Communicate effectively through clear written documentation and verbal discussions.
• Work closely with Clemson staff and other contracted team members in a collaborative environment.

1. 5+ years of experience with Actian DataConnect
2. 5+ years of experience with Axiom TransSend
3. 3+ years of experience with Pervasive Designer data mapping
4. 3+ years of experience with Visual Basic
5. 5+ years of experience working with the Medicaid program

Preferred / Referred Skills (Ranked by Importance)

1. Experience with Java
2. Experience with JavaScript

Education Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field with experience in computer system development and modification
  OR
• Equivalent years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
