Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst – BI & Reporting to lead business analysis, requirements management, enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data governance, and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications and delivering enterprise BI and reporting solutions. This role requires a hands-on Business Analyst who can work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and leadership teams throughout the full SDLC. The candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, enterprise data warehouses, requirements documentation, data mapping, dashboard/reporting solutions, UAT, and data governance. Experience with Qlik Sense/QlikView, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Databricks is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Lead requirements elicitation and analysis for enterprise BI, reporting, data, and business transformation initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to understand business objectives and reporting needs.
- Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs).
- Create use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, process workflows, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Perform current-state and future-state process analysis, gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst, BI Analyst, or related role.
- Strong experience with Business Intelligence and enterprise reporting.
- Excellent experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and RTMs.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Experience with enterprise data warehouses and data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality.
- Experience with UAT, defect management, and requirements traceability.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and SDLC environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and SharePoint.
