Summary

Position Title: Architectural Staff III / Designer III

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000+ DOE

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Architectural Staff III / Designer III to work on meaningful K-12 educational projects throughout California while developing toward future leadership. You'll support Project Architects on large-scale projects, independently manage smaller assignments, and gain valuable client-facing experience in a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality design, mentorship, and long-term career growth. This role is ideal for an architect or designer with strong California K-12 experience who enjoys technical design work, wants to continue growing professionally, and is looking for a long-term home with a stable, highly respected firm.

Responsibilities

Support Project Architects through all phases of K-12 educational projects
Produce construction documents and technical drawings using Revit
Independently manage smaller projects with straightforward scopes
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal project teams
Participate in client meetings, design discussions, and project progress meetings
Ensure projects comply with California building codes and educational facility requirements
Maintain accurate project documentation while meeting established schedules and quality standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture
8+ years of architectural experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working on California K-12 projects
Strong proficiency in Revit
Excellent written communication skills
Experience producing construction documents and coordinating project deliverables
Portfolio required with application
