Location: Reston, VA 20190 (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 2 Years (with possibility of extension)

Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and log management. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with the Splunk team to deploy applications, manage AWS logs, and support log ingestion and analysis.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
• Implement DevOps best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including but not limited to:
• EC2 – compute provisioning
• S3 – object storage
• IAM – identity and access management
• CloudFormation – infrastructure as code
• Kinesis & Firehose – real-time data streaming and delivery
• CloudWatch – monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Lambda – serverless and event-driven architecture
• Proficiency in GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Splunk for log management in AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and modern tooling.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
