Genesis10 is currently seeking a Tableau Desktop Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business intelligence and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data visualization, and the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop interactive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards and reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Optimize and maintain existing Tableau dashboards
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and visualizations
- Stay updated with Tableau best practices and new features
Requirements: - Proven experience as a Tableau Desktop Developer
- Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and data visualization best practices
- Solid understanding of SQL, data querying, and fundamentals of data modeling
- Experience with data preparation and ETL processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
Desired skills: - Experience with industry BI/Reporting toolsets including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Qlik
- Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases
- Experience with Data Science integration and application (Python, R)
- Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS, Informatica)
- Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript)
- Experience with Financial services data and large data volumes
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
