Database Administrator

Position: Database Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise across enterprise database platforms and mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience supporting DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, and SQL Server environments along with infrastructure planning, database performance tuning, and operational support.

Required Experience:

• 15+ years of combined Database Administration experience

• Strong expertise in:

  • DB2 for z/OS

  • SQL Server 2008R2/2012

  • Oracle 10g and above

• Experience with database planning, implementation, monitoring, and tuning

• Expertise in SQL Code Reviews and database operational support

• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and integrated application environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily database administration and operational activities

• Plan, design, implement, and support database structures

• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning

• Develop and maintain DBA procedures and technical documentation

• Perform SQL code reviews

• Support infrastructure and database-related initiatives

• Mentor and assist technical staff as needed

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS administration and upgrades

• Strong experience with:

  • JCL

  • z/OS platform

  • ISPF

  • COBOL

  • RACF

  • CICS

  • IOF

  • Disaster Recovery

• Experience with:

  • Oracle Administration

  • MSSQL Administration

  • SSMS, SSRS, SSIS

  • Windows Servers

  • Azure

• Knowledge of infrastructure change management and monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Experience with integrated enterprise database infrastructures is a plus

• Financial management application support experience is a plus
