Job Summary

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions that support business operations and growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Industry Awareness & Technology Adoption:
  Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluate and recommend new solutions to ensure the organization’s infrastructure remains modern, competitive, and aligned with business needs. Apply architectural best practices to integrate new technologies seamlessly into existing environments.
• Strategic Planning & Capacity Management:
  Develop both short-term and long-term architecture strategies for IT projects. Lead capacity planning for storage, data retention, backup, and disaster recovery, ensuring that infrastructure can scale to meet future demands and regulatory requirements.
• Solution Design & Deployment:
  Architect and deploy reliable, secure, and cost-effective hardware and software solutions. Ensure these solutions provide scalability and flexibility for current and future business needs, while optimizing performance and minimizing operational risks.
• Security & Compliance:
  Develop and implement comprehensive IT infrastructure security policies and procedures. Ensure all systems and processes comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate security risks, and conduct regular audits to maintain a secure environment.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Migration:
  Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and automation tools like Ansible or Chef. Assess complex customer workloads and develop technical migration roadmaps to transition legacy systems to cloud environments, leveraging both PaaS and IaaS models.
• Database & Big Data Expertise:
  Architect solutions involving relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases, and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, and other open-source platforms). Ensure data platforms are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, business analysts, and security professionals, to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business requirements. Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, including hardware, hosting, and networking.
• Proven ability to develop and execute architecture strategies and capacity plans.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), automation tools (Ansible, Chef), and migration methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as big data technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco, VMware) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure deployments, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Exposure to automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive organizational change.
