Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Systems Technician - Level I to provide exceptional technical support. Based in Waterbury, Connecticut, this role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and assisting with audio/visual setups for events. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering timely solutions while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Set up and dismantle computers and audio/visual equipment for meetings and events as needed.
Log and manage all technical support requests using a ticketing system to monitor workflows and maintenance needs.
Install, configure, and integrate new devices into Active Directory Domains and/or Azure Autopilot.
Prepare and maintain computer labs, offices, and systems by ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Provide training and assistance to users in operating audio/visual equipment and other technology tools.
Manage antivirus software and assist users with resolving application or hardware-related issues.
Maintain an inventory of technology equipment and recommend repairs, replacements, or upgrades as necessary.
Communicate effectively with users to assess their technology requirements and provide solutions.
Adhere to organizational policies, including dress code, conduct, and procedural guidelines, while taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
At least basic knowledge of IT.
Strong ability to repair and maintain Windows and iOS-based computer systems.
Proficiency in desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and iOS, as well as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
Knowledge of Active Directory and experience with service desk ticketing systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a positive and detail-oriented approach.
Must be capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
