Cable Technician (Low Voltage/Fiber)Location: Southern California (Field-Based)

About the OpportunityVectorUSA is seeking experienced Low Voltage Cable Technicians to support critical infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. Responsibilities- Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
- Perform cable certification and troubleshooting activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Complete daily project documentation and reporting
- Adhere to all site-specific safety and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications- 3-5+ years of low-voltage cabling experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cat5e/Cat6 installations
- Cable pulling
- Terminations and punch-downs
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication skills and professionalism on customer sites
- Reliable transportation capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder
- Must possess basic hand tools required for the work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various field environments
- Ability to pass:
- Background check
- Drug screening
- Live Scan/Fingerprinting requirements
Preferred Qualifications- Fiber optic termination experience
- Experience utilizing Fluke testing equipment
- Experience working in government, federal, or highly regulated environments
Work Environment- Field-based role supporting projects throughout:
- Los Angeles County
- Orange County
- Inland Empire
- Surrounding Southern California areas
- Travel between project sites is required
- Work will be performed on government contractor and high-security customer sites
- No security clearance required; however, candidates must maintain a clean BG and meet all site access requirements
