The Work
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs in the Sensors, Effectors, and Mission Systems business. This position requires proficiency in electrical engineering principles, organization and communication skills for application in a team environment, and collaboration with engineers in other related disciplines. Specific tasking includes but is not limited overseeing overall design of launcher electrical systems, including the selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components, custom hardware design, and setting requirements for chassis/enclosure design.

Responsibilities include:

Integrated Product Team lead role supporting electrical design of next generation launchers and/or sustainment of the Mk41 Vertical Launching System.
Representing the team both internally and externally as a technical contact on contracts and projects.
Conduct or participate in the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical components, sub-systems and systems.
Develop, direct, and coordinate technical documentation such as initial design specifications, schematics, assembly drawings and parts list as well as preparing test procedures and reports to ensure customer and company requirements are met.
Management of project schedules and budgets, including earned value.

This position is located in Moorestown, NJ.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)
Minimum 9 years of professional (post-graduation) engineering experience
Experience serving in technical lead capacities (Integrated Product Team Lead or Design lead)
Demonstrated understanding of technical programmatic principles (Integrated Master Schedule, Earned Value Management, Risks, etc.)
Proficient in use of design tools such as Zuken or Mentor Xpedition
Demonstrated experience leading projects, programs, and/or teams throughout product design lifecycle
Working proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Desired skills

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Familiarity with FPGA selection/programming
Experience creating or assisting with proposals or Basis of Estimates
Working knowledge of EPDM

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488.
