Evolver Federal is looking for an End User Support Engineer Lead to join our team supporting our federal client located onsite in Bethesda, MD.

This position requires a hybrid work environment with onsite work 3-5 days per week in Bethesda, MD depending on the requirements of the program

Responsibilities:
  • Manage ENS and FACnet endpoint patch compliance using HCL BigFix; maintain Microsoft patch compliance targeting >90% for Office and Cumulative updates on monthly cycle
  • Maintain third-party application compliance for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Reader via BigFix and Jamf
  • Execute and support security initiatives as directed by OIIT ISSO including: Microsoft Defender DLP pilot, Splunk endpoint deployment, BOD vulnerability remediation, and Bomgar remote access management
  • Manage Chrome Extensions Group Policy; maintain the browser software allow list in coordination with ISSO
  • Maintain the ORS/ORF software allow list as a controlled artifact: establish the baseline allow list within 30 calendar days of award and update quarterly in coordination with the ISSO (Section 7.3)
  • Support Annual COE continuous monitoring (ConMon) assessment; maintain FISMA system tagging for all ORS/ORF managed systems
  • Finalize and maintain GFE International Travel Loaner Policy, Request Procedures, and flowcharts
  • Support macOS end-of-life upgrade initiatives; enforce minimum macOS version compliance per CIT standards


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or seven (7) years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • 5 years of experience providing direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level and working with communication protocols
  • 5 years of experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and / or subcontracts of diverse types and complexity.
  • 5 years of experience in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
  • 5 years of experience maintaining network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • 5 years of experience providing technical consultation, training and support to IT staff
  • with the ability to obtain a Level 5 (NACIC) security clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology
  • The following certifications and skillset are preferred:
    • Microsoft MSCE, Windows Server OS, IIS, PowerShell, System Center Operation and Configuration Management,
    • Microsoft Azure Administration
    • Microsoft Azure DevOps
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Professional
    • VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) - Design or Deploy
    • Nutanix Platform Expert (NPX)
    • IBM BigFix Lifecycle Administration
    • Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 or higher
    • CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
