Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to design, develop, and enhance modern Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of mobile development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android XML, modern application architecture, REST APIs, and third-party SDK integrations.

This is an onsite position in Madison, WI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.

• Build modern Android user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Android XML layouts.

• Apply architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.

• Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• Integrate and work with third-party SDKs and libraries.

• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable mobile experiences.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

• Follow modern Android development best practices and coding standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional mobile development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Android development.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Strong experience with Android XML layouts/view structures.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with:

  • MVVM

  • MVI

  • Clean Architecture

• Strong experience integrating REST APIs.

• Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs.

• Strong understanding of Android application development, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Must be willing to work onsite in Madison, WI.

• Experience modernizing existing Android applications.

• Experience working with multiple Android architecture patterns.

• Experience with mobile application performance optimization.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
