Mainframe Tester

Role: Mainframe Tester

Location: Atlanta, GA

We are looking for a Mainframe Support / Testing Analyst with strong experience supporting end-to-end testing and batch operations in complex mainframe environments.

Required Technical Skills

Mainframe: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM

Online Systems: CICS (preferred)

Job Scheduling: CA-7

OS: Linux / AIX

Testing & Support: E2E Testing, Environment Management, File Transmission Monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

Provide end-to-end testing support for backend mainframe systems

Monitor E2E batch flows and ensure timely job completion

Troubleshoot batch job failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution

Support and manage file transmissions, including replay/retransmission

Serve as an escalation point for client and environment-related issues

Coordinate with QA, Development, Infrastructure, and Incident Management teams

Ensure all SLAs are consistently met

Preferred Experience

Strong batch & CICS/DB2 processing support

CA-7 scheduling, JCL debugging, CICS monitoring

Client-facing or production support experience

Excellent communication and coordination skills
