Position Summary:We're seeking a highly skilled Android Platform Automation Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Java and mobile automation frameworks, experience with Appium. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building robust automation frameworks from scratch, and is passionate about delivering high-quality mobile experiences across a wide range of devices.
Responsibilities- Employing test-driven development (TDD), collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities.
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements.
- Participating in estimating work is necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
Qualifications & Required Skills- 5+ years of experience in Android Development using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Must have experience in one of the mobile automation tools and frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
- Hands on experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch or using open-source tools.
- Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium, Develop and document test UI automation.
- Java and Shell Scripting is MUST
- Mobile Test Automation with Appium is a MUST, Selenium Test NG
- Implement new testing frameworks for future products and features.
- Participate in code review of standards, procedures, tools, and quality improvement processes.
- Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Hands on experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch or using open source tools
- Experience working with various source code and CI/CD management tools e.g. Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Bitbucket
- Ability to work with limited to no guidance in a team environment.
- Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
