Job Description

  • Program and configure automation systems including Lutron (HomeWorks QS/QSX, RadioRA 2/3), Savant, Control4, Crestron, and related subsystems.

  • Develop and load system code, user interfaces, and configuration files.

  • Prepare and pre-configure equipment and devices prior to deployment.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and support integrated lighting, AV, control, and network systems.

  • Configure devices using IR, IP, and RS-232 control protocols.

  • Perform system testing, calibration, and commissioning for new installations.

  • Provide on-site and remote service support, including diagnostics, processor checks, and guided client troubleshooting.

  • Deploy, configure, and manage complex wired and wireless networks, including switches, access points, firewalls, VLANs, and IP management.

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation, including device lists, wiring schedules, network maps, and secure password repositories.

  • Communicate clear, timely updates on project status, service actions, and follow-ups.

  • Uphold the company's commitment to delivering a seamless, positive client experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in home automation programming or service.

  • Proficiency in Lutron programming, Savant, Control4 Composer, Crestron, and IR/IP/RS-232 configuration.

  • Solid understanding of AV integration, low-voltage systems, and foundational networking.

  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise-grade wired and wireless networks.

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical plans.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours when needed-often without prior notice-due to system failures, client emergencies, or time-sensitive technical issues.

  • Strong technical aptitude across multiple system types and disciplines.

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently.

  • Excellent client-facing communication and professionalism.

  • Ability to absorb feedback, adjust quickly, and remain composed in dynamic environments.

  • Strong analytical and creative troubleshooting abilities.

  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with passion for technology and service.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, including urgent system needs.
