Summary

Project (Testing) Coordinator

The Project (Testing) Coordinator role is tasked with the overall responsibility for the test effort's success. The role involves the coordination and scheduling of testing activities, quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and escalation of issues that impede the test effort.
Scope of Responsibilities

Negotiating the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort
Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources
Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test effort
Advocating the appropriate level of quality using a risk-based testing approach
Promoting testability within the software development process

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze project requirements to understand the testing effort
Estimate and obtain management support for required time and resources
Work with Project Managers and Workstream Leads to assign testing resources
Ensure all test scenarios are provided by Workstream Leads
Coordinate and follow up on the development of test scripts
Ensure test data is staged to support scenarios and scripts
Collaborate to ensure testing steps are sequenced accurately
Ensure test data is identified and documented for each test script
Ensure access to test environments and application security
Arrange facilities and equipment required for testing
Assign testing responsibilities to team members and ensure understanding
Maintain testing documents and artifacts
Implement and enforce testing processes as per standards
Review test script documents
Track testing outcomes including requirement changes
Escalate issues impacting project requirements to Testing Manager
Organize status meetings and send reports
Participate in project meetings and discuss weekly status
Communicate with testing resources as needed
Track and report testing activities, coverage, defects, and performance
Review reports prepared by testers
Ensure timely delivery of testing milestones

Skills and Competencies

Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks including scheduling and coordination
Excellent communication skills: Clear communication with team members and stakeholders
Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in testing materials and processes
Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve testing issues effectively
Technical familiarity: Experience with testing tools, data analysis tools, and platforms

Primary Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND one year of IT-related experience. OR Associate's degree in a related field and three years of IT-related experience.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
