Job Description/ Responsibilities
o Need to have good understanding of mainframe concepts around starting and stopping of tasks
o Proficient with SA+Netview administration creating / identifying / updating the PDB database.
o Configure NetView automation tables, message processing, and command lists
o Controlling the lifecycle of the managed resources start, start, restarting of tasks.
o Should have knowledge of the STC required and configuring the same for SA + Netview.
o Should have strong rexx programming knowledge
o Should be able to understand and update the IPL/shutdown automation.
o Work with operation/sysprog teams to identify use cases for automation and automate the same.
o Experience with managing SA+Netview in a sysplex environment
o Experience with integrating SA+netview with other tools like IzWS, Omegamon
o
o Excellent understanding of System z architecture
o Excellent experience with IBM z/OS operating system
o Experience in building Mainframe LPAR and OS Upgrades
o Installation of patches and fixes
o System parameters/parmlib maintenance
o Knowledge of managing JES3 subsystem.
o Managing incidents on z/OS related issues
o z/OS performance monitoring and reporting
