Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced EDI Integration Specialist with deep, hands-on operational expertise across core retail EDI transaction sets. This is a short-term engagement supporting urgent needs around vendor integrations, prepack workflows, and import/customs coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day EDI operations across core retail documents: 850, 855, 860, 856, 810

Troubleshoot, validate, and optimize EDI transaction flows between internal systems and external partners

Ensure accurate handling of prepack structures within EDI integrations (ordering, ASN, labeling, packing logic)

Collaborate with retail partners, 3PLs, and import/customs brokers to resolve data issues and maintain compliance

Work directly with customs/import partners such as Deringer or Century to ensure smooth import workflows

Provide subject matter expertise to internal IS and supply chain teams on EDI best practices

Document processes, mappings, and operational steps for knowledge transfer at the end of the engagement

Required Experience

Strong, practical experience with retail EDI operations

Hands-on expertise with EDI transaction sets: 850 (PO), 855 (PO Acknowledgment), 860 (PO Change), 856 (ASN), 810 (Invoice)

Deep understanding of prepack logic and how it flows through EDI integrations

Experience working with customs/import brokers (Deringer, Century, or similar)

Background supporting retail, wholesale, or consumer goods environments

Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, short-term engagement
