Job Title: Okta IAM Security Engineer
Location: Remote
System One is seeking an Okta IAM Security Engineer for a long-term remote opportunity. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Okta, Identity Governance, SSO, MFA, application integrations, IAM automation, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) in an enterprise environment. This is a technical, hands-on role focused on engineering and optimizing Okta solutions, identity lifecycle management, access governance, and secure identity integrations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of identities and IAM tools/platforms to ensure security and user experience are optimized.
- Configure internal applications for use with Okta SSO and support Okta solutions for SSO, MFA, and federation.
- Troubleshoot MFA and Single Sign-On issues with Okta and Active Directory.
- Identify and implement technology, automation, and security improvements for IAM functions.
- Facilitate onboarding of applications into Okta and enhance end-user experience with Okta.
- Design, build, and maintain PAM processes to enforce least privilege principles and support M&A activities.
- Support security incident response related to IAM, identify potential threats, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the Security Team to address security findings related to identity management.
- Contribute to continuous learning and development of new security solutions.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience with Identity and Access Management technologies.
- 5+ years of technical management experience implementing and managing IAM tools and platforms.
- Extensive experience with PAM administration, configuration, implementation, and design.
- Working knowledge of Okta, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Conditional Access.
- Knowledge of SAML, OpenID, OAuth, and WS-Federation.
- Experience with Okta FastPass and/or Okta Identity Governance is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
- Ability to work productively remotely and communicate effectively in a virtual team environment.
- Experience with IAM automation, troubleshooting, and support for account provisioning.
- Strong customer focus, relationship building, and leadership skills.
- Security-minded approach to analyzing business risks and prioritizing efforts.
