Description
We are looking for a skilled Cable Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lititz, Pennsylvania. This role involves working on various cabling projects, including fiber optic and coaxial installations, within structured environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cable installation and testing, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards in safety and organization.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and coaxial cables to support Distributed Antenna System (DAS) deployments.
Perform structured cabling tasks in new construction settings, ensuring proper routing and cable management.
Assist in the setup and activation of platform components, including antennas, head-end equipment, and hardware.
Interpret and work from construction drawings, low-voltage diagrams, and project scopes.
Conduct comprehensive cable testing, labeling, and documentation to align with client and project guidelines.
Diagnose and resolve signal or connectivity issues during installations and commissioning.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Utilize prior experience with fiber splicing, coaxial installations, and DAS builds to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience with network cabling, including fiber-optic and coax cable installations.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical diagrams.
Proficiency in cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Distributed Antenna System (DAS) components and deployments.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining worksite cleanliness.
Previous experience with fiber splicing or coaxial cable installs is highly desirable.
