Project Engineer | VIP/VVIP Aircraft Completions

A high-end aircraft completions business is growing its engineering team and is looking to appoint two Project Engineersto support bespoke VIP and VVIP aircraft programmes.
This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being close to the programme: taking a design from concept through certification, working through technical issues with the shop floor, and keeping the moving parts of a complex aircraft modification on track. You will be the technical link between Programme Management, Production, Purchasing, suppliers and the wider engineering team.
The work is firmly within the VIP/VVIP aircraft completion space. Prior experience of aircraft interiors, cabin modifications or completions is essential; a general aerospace background alone will not offer the required fit.
What you will be doing
Lead the engineering workstream on assigned VIP/VVIP aircraft completion programmes.
Bring together interiors, structures, mechanical systems, electrical and avionics engineering to deliver an integrated solution.
Work closely with Production to resolve technical issues and ensure designs are practical to manufacture and install.
Partner with Programme Management and Purchasing to keep engineering activity aligned to delivery dates, costs and customer commitments.
Coordinate technical deliverables with external design houses, suppliers and Outside Service Vendors.
Support the development of engineering data for STC and aircraft-certification activity.
Keep programme stakeholders informed of engineering progress, risks, priorities and budget position.
What we are looking for
Demonstrable VIP/VVIP aircraft interiors, cabin modification or completionexperience
Approximately 7-10+ years in aircraft completions, certification or engineering project delivery.
Exposure to large-cabin or transport-category aircraft, ideally within a Part 25 / EASA Part 25 environment.
Working knowledge of STC development and the engineering requirements behind a successful certification programme.
Experience managing engineering schedules, resources, cost or risk across complex aircraft work packages.
The confidence to liaise effectively with engineering teams, production personnel, suppliers, customers and senior stakeholders.
A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; significant relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel and AutoCAD would be beneficial.
A valid passport and flexibility for occasional domestic and international travel
