Role: ServiceNow ITAM Business Analyst

Overview

Seeking an experienced ServiceNow Business Analyst with understanding of ServiceNow Configuration Management, Discovery, Hardware Asset Management, and Software Asset Management areas to capture business requirements.

Job Duties

• Responsible for capturing business requirements for Configuration Management, Discovery, and IT Asset Management.

• Liaison between the business and the platform team.

• Capture business and user requirements (as stories for agile shops).

• Ensure requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification.

• Own the relationship with project stakeholders to identify, prioritize, model, and document business, process, and data requirements.

• Represent project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes.

• Work with the platform team to develop release estimates.

• Support the testing effort.

• Work with stakeholders to drive adoption.

Required Skills

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent (4-years) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Understanding of ITIL framework and industry best practices with ITIL v3 or v4.

• Experience in Agile SCRUM methodology.

• 4+ years of practical experience with requirements gathering for ServiceNow ITAM modules, primarily Hardware Asset Management.

• Comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, including Cloud Discovery and CMDB population.

• Service mapping, MID server configuration, data mapping.

• Integration overview between ServiceNow and external tools/systems or experience with Integration Hub (plus).

• Strong experience with ServiceNow out-of-box functionalities.

• Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules.

• Ability to articulate ServiceNow features as it relates to the customer s business.
