We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Trade Promotion Management (TPM) Lead to serve as the primary onsite functional lead for the TPM landscape. This role will act as the key interface between business stakeholders, client IT, and offshore support & delivery teams.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in improving platform stability, strengthening stakeholder confidence, and ensuring effective prioritization and execution of TPM support and enhancement initiatives within a fast-paced Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison between business teams (Sales, Finance, Trade Marketing) and IT.
Manage stakeholder expectations, align priorities, and ensure transparency on timelines and system health.
Facilitate regular prioritization sessions to balance business impact and team capacity.
Provide proactive communication, escalation handling, and executive-level reporting.
2. Service Governance & Delivery Oversight
Coordinate with offshore support teams to ensure timely incident resolution and enhancement delivery.
Lead monthly service review sessions covering:
Incident trends and backlog health
Root cause analysis
Application vs. process/user issues
Continuous improvement recommendations
Ensure adherence to release governance, quality controls, and stabilization priorities.
3. Functional Leadership & TPM Expertise
Act as the functional lead across SAP TPM processes, including:
Promotion Planning & Execution
Claims & Funds Management
Trade Management v3 / Customer Business Planning
Validate business requirements and translate them into scalable functional solutions.
Guide solution design aligned with SAP best practices.
Provide subject matter expertise across trade lifecycle management.
4. Cross-Functional Process Alignment
Ensure integration and coordination across TPM and related systems, including:
OTC processes (pricing, deductions, order management)
BW / BW-IP reporting and planning
Master data governance (product hierarchies, customer hierarchies, units of measure)
Advise stakeholders on process implications of master data or structural changes.
5. Testing, Release & Quality Assurance
Drive structured testing cycles and business validation readiness.
Ensure end-to-end scenario validation prior to production releases.
Support release planning, hypercare, and stabilization efforts.
Required Experience & Skills
SAP & Functional Expertise
10+ years of SAP experience with strong TPM specialization:
SAP CRM TPM / Trade Management
Promotion Planning, Claims & Funds Management
Trade Management v3 / Customer Business Planning
Strong understanding of OTC processes and BW/BW-IP integration.
Experience in AMS/support, stabilization, and enhancement environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior US onsite client-facing experience.
Experience leading AMS/support engagements.
Exposure to S/4HANA Trade Management.
PMP, ITIL, or Agile certification.
