Metrology Quality Technician - Direct Hire


Location: Beverly, MA


Pay: $26.50-$33/hour

Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support manufacturing quality assurance, inspection, and metrology operations. This role is responsible for performing first article inspections (FAI), receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure precision parts meet all engineering and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform FAI, in-process, and final inspections to verify product conformance

  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure dimensional accuracy

  • Use CMM, vision systems, and manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators)

  • Develop and run CMM programs from drawings and CAD models

  • Troubleshoot quality issues and support operators, engineers, and inspectors

  • Train team members on inspection methods, tools, and best practices

  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain inspection records, documentation, and quality reports


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 4+ years of quality inspection in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and metrology principles

  • Hands-on experience with CMM and precision measurement equipment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills


Schedule & Environment


  • Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Manufacturing/shop floor environment; lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
