Application Architect - Cloud and On-prem – Enterprise Landing Zones & Application Migration  As a Cloud Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the migration of business-critical applications from on-premises distributed infrastructure to cloud platforms including AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will work across cloud architecture, enterprise landing zones, networking, infrastructure-as-code, security, observability, reliability engineering, and operational readiness.  This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud infrastructure professional who can design and implement the foundational cloud capabilities required for successful application migration. You will partner with application teams, platform engineering, cybersecurity, database, QA, operations, and project leadership to ensure applications are migrated into secure, resilient, compliant, and supportable cloud environments.  What You’ll Do 

• Design and support cloud migration solutions for applications moving from on-premises infrastructure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Work with enterprise landing zones, including account/project structure, networking, IAM, security guardrails, shared services, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls. 
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with deep hands-on experience in Terraform. 
• Design cloud networking patterns including VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, firewalls, private connectivity, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity to on-premises environments. 
• Partner with application and database teams to define migration patterns, environment readiness, dependency mapping, deployment sequencing, and production support models. 
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve availability, resiliency, observability, incident response, performance, and operational automation. 
• Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, cloud configuration, secrets management, policy enforcement, and environment provisioning. 
• Use Jira for backlog delivery, infrastructure tasks, risk tracking, dependency management, and migration execution. 
• Use GitLab or similar tools for Terraform modules, pipeline automation, peer review, version control, and deployment workflows. 
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure cloud environments meet enterprise standards for encryption, access control, logging, vulnerability management, and audit readiness. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, network engineering, SRE, or cloud architecture. 
• Demonstrated experience supporting application migrations from on-premises environments to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Deep experience working with enterprise cloud landing zones and cloud governance models. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code delivery practices. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, routing, segmentation, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and secure network design. 
• Experience with SRE practices including observability, incident response, capacity planning, reliability design, automation, and operational readiness. 
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps workflows, and automated infrastructure deployment. 
• Strong understanding of IAM, secrets management, logging, monitoring, security guardrails, compliance controls, and cloud operations. 
• Experience using Jira to manage infrastructure delivery, dependencies, risks, and migration tasks. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other highly regulated environments. 
• AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, networking, or security certifications. 
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, service mesh, API gateways, and cloud-native deployment patterns. 
• Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, or similar observability platforms. 
• Experience with ServiceNow change, incident, and problem management processes. 
• Experience enabling migration of legacy applications, database-heavy workloads, batch processes, and integration-intensive systems. 
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Copilot or Codex for documentation, infrastructure templates, troubleshooting, and automation acceleration. 

Success in the First 12 Months 

• Establish secure, compliant, and reusable cloud infrastructure patterns for application migration. 
• Deliver Terraform-based infrastructure modules and automated provisioning workflows. 
• Improve migration readiness through clear landing zone, networking, IAM, observability, and operational design. 
• Strengthen application reliability through SRE practices, monitoring, alerting, and incident response improvements. 
• Build trusted partnerships with application, database, security, network, platform, and operations teams. 
• Help accelerate cloud adoption while reducing operational risk and improving long-term supportability. 

Ideal Candidate  A hands-on Cloud Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong network engineering experience, deep Terraform and infrastructure-as-code expertise, practical SRE experience, and proven ability to work within enterprise landing zones to support secure, reliable, and scalable application migrations to AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
