Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week in Albany, NY
--- Project Description ---
This position will support cloud support services, such as cloud
integration technical assistance, cloud-based analytic and security
programs, and training for Dept personnel on the use of cloud-based
tools.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Specific duties will include: designing webservices and applications
including researching and documenting technical designs, programming
solutions, and customer technical support; developing unit tests and
testing processes autonomously to ensure conformity of the application
with business requirements and implement change management;
managing the release management process, including the testing,
promoting and releasing of applications through the development
environment; and leading code critique sessions and overseeing the
development of technical design documentation.
2. Other related duties
as assigned.
3. The architect will also lead database design/development
and user-interface enhancements.
--- Required Qualifications ---
84 months of experience in the design, implementation and deployment of
web applications, single page front end applications, REST backends
84 months of experience designing and building cloud native and hybrid
applications in AWS.
84 months of experience in design, implementation and deployment of
system-to-system applications using REST APIs, REST Clients, Spring
security
60 months of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Oracle,
Postgres, DynamoDB.
60 months of experience in programming public sector government IT
projects
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology
from an accredited institution
84 months of experience with data processing, ETL and analysis with Python
using libraries Pandas, Numpy
