Must-Have Skills:
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12; EDIFACT optional).
- Experience with integrating EDI with SAP (ECC/S4) as primary ERP, Knowledge of SAP and SAP IDOCs
- Experience with integrating EDI utilizing XML
- Experience with core transaction sets used in commercial and procurement processes, such as: 810, 820, 830, 840, 850, 855, 856, 860, 940/945
- Ability to manage mapping development, testing, and validation.
- Familiarity with integration layers, APIs, flat files, and middleware concepts.
- Familiarity with EDI mapping tools such as Seeburger and BTP Integration suite a plus
- Awareness of basic scripting and automation framework in terms of EDI processing.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on EDI experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Strong experience with IBM Sterling VAN
- EDI standards knowledge (ANSI X12; EDIFACT optional)
- SAP ERP integration experience (ECC/S4, IDOCs)
- Experience supporting commercial processes (orders, shipping, invoicing)
- Vendor and SLA management experience
- Strong project management skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with SAP Ariba (SAP BN)
- Experience with XML-based integrations and middleware platforms
- Familiarity with Seeburger, SAP BTP Integration Suite, or similar tools
- Experience with procurement/supplier EDI interfaces
- Agile or Scrum project management certification
- Basic scripting or automation experience in EDI processing
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Own and oversee all EDI operations supporting commercial, procurement, and supply chain processes
- Manage EDI integrations across IBM Sterling, SAP ECC, SAP Ariba, Axway, and 3PL warehouse systems
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical EDI specifications
- Monitor daily EDI transaction flows, ensure compliance with EDI standards, and lead issue resolution
- Coordinate onboarding, testing, go-live, and maintenance of customer and supplier trading partners
- Manage EDI vendors, SLAs, IT spend forecasting, upgrades, and performance optimization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of EDI experience, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Strong experience integrating EDI with SAP ERP systems
- Proven project management and vendor management experience
- Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
