Location: Cedar Park, Texas
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Position Overview

Vice President of Engineering to lead engineering organization and directly manage project and program execution. This role is responsible for overseeing a fully staffed engineering team and driving product development, system integration, sustaining engineering, compliance, schedule management, risk management, and disciplined program execution



Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the engineering organization while directly managing project and program execution.
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, test, and network engineering functions.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle, including concept development, design, prototyping, verification, qualification testing coordination, product release, and sustaining engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 design and development processes.
  • Own and actively manage program schedules, budgets, risks, milestones, and cross-functional coordination activities.
  • Improve engineering processes, documentation, design controls, and execution methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and product repeatability.
  • Support customer engagements and proposal development by providing technical leadership and expertise.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering leadership experience within aerospace, defense, power systems, or electromechanical product environments.
  • Proven experience leading engineering organizations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of system-level integration involving power modules, converters, filters, thermal systems, and mechanical packaging.
  • Experience working with regulatory and compliance standards including UL, MIL-STD, FCC, CE, and DO-160.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects and programs while delivering complex products on schedule.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to obtain access to information and technology subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating modular power components.
  • Background in defense or aerospace product development and qualification programs.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and engineering change management processes.
  • Experience leading established engineering teams through periods of organizational growth and scale.
