About the JobWells Fargo is seeking a
Technology Product Owner to join the
Development Enablement organization within the
Chief Technology Office (CTO). In this role, you will own and drive the enterprise
Developer Experience (DevEx) platform, supporting modern development frameworks and tools for more than
25,000 developers across the organization.
You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders to evolve the DevEx platform, align with enterprise technology strategy, and improve developer productivity at scale.
This contingent assignment involves acting as a product leader for moderately complex, large-scale initiatives within Software Engineering, contributing to planning, execution, and continuous improvement of DevEx capabilities.
Responsibilities- Define, evolve, and clearly communicate the DevEx platform vision, roadmap, and success metrics in alignment with enterprise technology strategy, SDLC standards, and developer productivity goals.
- Translate enterprise developer needs, technology standards, and emerging industry trends into actionable product epics, features, and outcomes.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and prioritization through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a transparent, well-prioritized backlog, including features, technical debt, risk, compliance, and enablement work.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges, applying in-depth evaluation of variable factors to drive effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering teams and client personnel to resolve moderately complex issues and meet delivery commitments.
- Conduct industry and DevEx research, incorporating insights into backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Drive developer adoption and satisfaction by ensuring tools are intuitive, well-documented, and supported by clear onboarding and change communications.
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, scalable, and enterprise-wide, requiring vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking.
- Strategically engage with developers, engineering managers, and senior leaders across the enterprise.
- Identify and resolve sequencing, prioritization, and dependency conflicts across products and product areas.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, including application architecture, design, and development in Java or .NET.
- 3+ years of experience working with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and collaboration tools such as Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
- 2+ years of experience building and delivering presentations and communications to audiences at all levels, including senior executive leadership.
- Strong understanding of Software Engineering practices, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications- 2+ years of cloud development experience.
- Experience applying human-centered design principles to technology products.
- Strong risk and dependency management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.
- Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to facilitate discussions to identify optimal solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships.
