Seeking hands-on Fiber Optic Technicians to support MTP/MMC connector and trunk repair projects in data centers. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber infrastructure alongside client engineering teams.
This is a travel-heavy, onsite role requiring extended hours and weekend flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Repair fiber systems including:
MTP/MMC connectors, SOCs (8F/12F), pigtails (12F/24F), LC/SC connectors
Project Execution & Reporting
Seeking hands-on Fiber Optic Technicians to support MTP/MMC connector and trunk repair projects in data centers. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber infrastructure alongside client engineering teams.
This is a travel-heavy, onsite role requiring extended hours and weekend flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fiber testing using OTDR, scopes, multifiber test sets, and VFL
- Identify faults, signal loss, and failure points
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend fixes
Repair fiber systems including:
MTP/MMC connectors, SOCs (8F/12F), pigtails (12F/24F), LC/SC connectors
- Perform cleaning, routing, bend radius management, and minor corrections
- Support FastTrack repairs and Refurcation as needed
Project Execution & Reporting
- Provide daily updates to site/engineering leads
- Support onsite execution under Field Engineers
- Document troubleshooting, repairs, and progress
- Submit required Customer Notification (CN) data
