Assistant Facilities Manager | Non-profit | $65k-$68k base salaryYour new company Hays Facilities Management has partnered with a Manhattan-based performing arts center, who are looking to hire an Assistant Facilities Manager to support all preventive and emergency maintenance across the site. This key role will also lead all facility operations across the asset, ensuring delivery of a safe, efficient, and first-class experience for stakeholders and patrons.
Your new role As Assistant Facilities Manager, you will help ensure all building systems operate at peak performance while coordinating maintenance activities, vendor relationships, life safety programs, and event operations. Working closely with production, IT, front-of-house, and operations teams, you will play a vital role in supporting daily activities across a dynamic and highly utilized facility. Responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance programs, managing contractors and service providers, coordinating building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, elevators, and BMS operations, and supporting construction and capital improvement projects. You will also assist with emergency response procedures, crowd management planning, and maintaining compliance with all applicable safety standards and certifications.
What you'll need to succeed - 3+ years of trades or facilities maintenance experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical/trade certifications strongly preferred
- OSHA certification/training preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS platforms, electrical and mechanical systems, fire & Life Safety systems.
