Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Technician to join our team in Laredo, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent position where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of office equipment while delivering exceptional customer support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
Perform timely and efficient repairs and maintenance on office equipment to ensure consistent functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, applying both mechanical and electrical expertise.
Provide basic networking support and computer analysis to address customer needs effectively.
Deliver training to customers on equipment usage to enhance satisfaction and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, part usage, and customer meter readings.
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management to ensure a detail-oriented interaction.
Identify customer needs and business opportunities to contribute to sales growth.
Ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Handle Apple device-related technical support as required.
Promote customer satisfaction by delivering reliable and courteous service.
Requirements
High school diploma required; an associate degree in Electronics or Computer Science is preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with office equipment brands such as Canon, HP, Lexmark, Ricoh, Sharp, and Xerox is a plus.
Basic networking knowledge and computer proficiency are essential.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to analyze technical information and solve problems effectively.
Previous experience in office equipment maintenance and repair is preferred.
