About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in data analysis, ETL, and enterprise reporting. This role focuses on delivering analytics and insights related to enterprise toolchain adoption, maturity, and organizational impact. You will design and build executive-level dashboards that help leadership understand usage trends, productivity, and the effectiveness of engineering and DevOps tools across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards that measure toolchain adoption, usage patterns, process maturity, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and transformation teams to gather requirements and build meaningful KPIs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise toolchain reporting, including Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD platforms, testing tools, and security tools.
  • Build scalable data frameworks and reporting methodologies to assess onboarding, usage, automation coverage, maturity levels, and delivery outcomes.
  • Integrate data from APIs, data lakes, internal databases, and vendor platforms using strong ETL skills, Power Query/M, and DAX.
  • Create executive-ready reporting with drill-down capabilities for decision-making and strategy planning.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to present insights, recommend improvements, and evolve analytics capabilities.
  • Address and resolve reporting-related technical issues, continuously improving data accuracy and reporting quality.
  • Define and maintain reporting standards, including data governance, data integrity, and security best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and analysts on BI development and reporting best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, business intelligence, or analytics.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience connecting Power BI to toolchain platforms (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD tools).
  • Advanced skills in DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling, and ETL.
  • Strong background in delivering executive dashboards focused on adoption, risk, compliance, productivity, automation, or similar metrics.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise reporting best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring others.
  • Power BI expertise - 6+ years strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in DevOps, SDLC/ALM toolchains, engineering productivity, or enterprise transformation reporting.
  • Experience supporting executive or board-level reporting.
  • Microsoft Power BI or Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience in regulated industries (financial services strongly preferred).
Job Expectations
  • Deliver accurate, visually compelling dashboards for leadership and enterprise reporting.
  • Ensure all reporting follows security, compliance, and risk standards.
  • Continuously enhance reporting solutions as toolchain adoption evolves.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for critical reporting issues.
