Our prestigious law firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Attorney specializing in Public Entity Defense to join our dedicated team. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of cases involving municipal law, government, and municipalities, land use, labor and employment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of public entity defense, with a focus on providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Providing expert legal counsel to public entities, including municipalities, government agencies, and other public organizations.
2. Representing clients in litigation and other legal proceedings involving land use, labor and employment, and other areas of municipal law.
3. Developing and implementing comprehensive legal strategies to protect the interests of our clients and achieve their legal objectives.
4. Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation and legal strategy development.
5. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
6. Advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and legal developments.
8. Collaborating with other members of our legal team to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in public entity defense, with a focus on municipal law, government, and municipalities, land use, labor and employment.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience representing clients in litigation and other legal proceedings.
5. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to public entities.
6. Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also a strong team player.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
