Seeking a local candidate with the ability to work onsite two days per week. Wednesday will be an anchor day, with flexibility to choose a second weekday. (The office building is closed on Fridays.)
Senior Proposal Consultant
We are seeking a Senior Proposal Consultant to join a dynamic and collaborative Proposals and Client Intelligence team to support increased workload demands. This role will involve writing and editing sophisticated responses to complex RFPs, as well as developing other information and content to support evolving business needs.

The selected candidate will work closely with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Additional responsibilities include updating RFP library content, maintaining accurate electronic proposal records, and performing other duties as assigned based on current business needs.

This role directly impacts growth of membership.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborates with business partners to develop comprehensive and strategic responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other similar requests.
• Serves as project manager and strategic content leader for assigned proposal projects. Identifies barriers and uses problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.
• Researches, develops, writes and edits complex content for internal and external audiences using subject matter experts and other resources as needed.
• Serves as a content expert in developing and maintaining proposal database responses to assigned product, process and service topic areas.
• Manages business partner relationships for assigned projects; serves as a member of various sales and marketing efforts; represents the team on internal committees and work groups.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, and shares results. Participates in quality improvement efforts. Identifies and adopts better means to serve business partners and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree and a minimum of five years of proposal writing experience.
• RFP, marketing, or other professional writing experience
• Advanced writing skills
• Superior project and time management skills for managing changing priorities and ability to work in a deadline-driven but supportive environment
• Demonstrated personal computer skills in the use of a suite of software tools (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with business partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with specialisted proposal software such as Qvidian
• Healthcare experience
• APMP Certification
• Strong research, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated personal computer skills in the use of a suite of software tools (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
