JD- The Datasphere Architect defines the target architecture and data modelling standards for the SAP Datasphere platform. The role provides technical leadership across ingestion from S/4HANA, semantic modelling, security and downstream consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud, Snowflake and Tableau. LONGDESCRIPTION section. 2 of 6. Section Title: Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities • Design the end-to-end data architecture from S/4HANA (ODP/CDS, RFC, OData) through SAP Datasphere to downstream platforms. • Define spaces, layering (acquisition, harmonisation, consumption), naming conventions and data modelling standards. • Select and govern integration patterns: replication flows, remote tables, data flows, transformation flows and SLT where applicable. • Design performance, scalability, data volume and cost-optimisation strategies. • Define the connectivity model including Cloud Connector, Data Provisioning Agent and network/security requirements. • Review designs and code produced by consultants; mentor the team and resolve complex technical issues. • Partner with the security, reporting and functional leads to ensure consistent semantics and access control. LONGDESCRIPTION section. 3 of 6. Section Title: Skill RequirementsSkill Requirements Overall 15+ years experience • Deep hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere (modelling, data builder, business builder, integration). • Strong knowledge of S/4HANA data extraction: ABAP CDS views, ODP framework, extractors and RFC/OData connectivity. • Knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA and HANA SQL, plus integration with Snowflake and ETL tools such as FME. • Data warehousing concepts: dimensional modelling, data governance, lineage and master data. • Strong architecture documentation and presentation skills.
