System Engineer - Gaffney, SC and Gastonia, NC

Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add a System Engineer to the team in two locations: Gaffney, SC and Gastonia, NC. Please see below for full details-

Job Notes:
-- 6-month contract / extensions and perm conversion are possible with good performance, but not guaranteed.
-- Drug & Background required.
-- Must be able to work in both locations: Gaffney, SC 29341 & Gastonia, NC 28052

Pay Rate = $40-42 w2 per hour plus benefits

Responsibilities:
Install and configure routing and switching devices following change control process
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network related issues
Monitor network performance proactively
Verify and update network documentation
Ensure network related policies and best practices are followed
Engage with manufacturing areas to identify network requirements
Understand security best practices and offer solutions to the stakeholders
Test and upgrade network equipment to most recent stable version
Liaison between IT/OT departments
Gather communication requirements and translate to Firewall rule requests
Closely working on network Information Security topics such as:
Risk/Vulnerability/Asset Management
Incident response/Backup & Recovery
Change Management

Qualifications:
CCNA certification or similar
Deep understanding of the OSI model or TCP/IP stack
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco gear (1+ years)
Information Security knowledge
Understanding Purdue PERA model/CPwE
CCNP certification (desired)
OT/ICS knowledge (desired)
