We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead quality engineering efforts across UI and backend services of out Portal applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on in automation, strong in manual testing fundamentals, and collaborates closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable releases. This role will act as a quality gatekeeper for assigned applications and drive best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI and backend services.
Build and execute automated test suites using Selenium, Cucumber, and related tools.
Develop API automation for RESTful services and backend integrations.
Perform comprehensive manual testing where automation is not feasible.
Collaborate with Product Managers to clarify, refine, and validate business requirements.
Participate in requirement reviews and provide early quality feedback.
Define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage aligns with business objectives.
Act as a quality gate for releases by validating functionality, regression, integration, and performance aspects.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor test results, analyze failures, and drive root cause analysis.
Ensure high standards of code quality, reusability, and maintainability in automation frameworks.
Advocate for quality best practices across engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in QA and Test Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with:
UI automation frameworks
Selenium WebDriver
Cucumber (BDD framework)
Experience in backend/API automation (REST services)
Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies and test case design
Working knowledge of AWS services (e.g., ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (gitlab integration, JIRA\Zypher)
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
Experience working closely with Product teams to define business requirements and acceptance criteria
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance or load testing tools ( JMeter\postman)
Experience testing microservices architectures
Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
