Summary

Position Summary

The Support Technician II provides on-site and remote technical support for end-user hardware, software, and networked systems. This role ensures reliable desktop operations, delivers exceptional customer service, supports compliance requirements, and serves as a positive representative of the organization in all interactions.

Essential Job Functions

Technical Support & Systems Administration

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support end-user I.T. equipment including desktops, laptops, workstations, scanners, printers, terminals, and POS systems (excluding servers and associated devices).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Ensure devices are network-ready and integrated into distributed systems with high reliability and flexibility.
  • Support networked software, hardware, and related devices.
  • Assist with software installations, desktop imaging, hardware upgrades, and deployments.

Documentation & Training

  • Create, maintain, and update system and network documentation.
  • Train users on effective use of desktop systems and Microsoft Office Suite products.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Maintain an exceptional level of customer service; address and resolve issues and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively using written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, employees, and internal/external clients.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive behavior standards in all interactions.

Problem Solving & Prioritization

  • Evaluate and prioritize technical issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills appropriate to a Support Technician II.
  • Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner while managing multiple requests.

Compliance & Professional Conduct

  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA, compliance, safety, and service excellence requirements.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and acceptable job performance across all assigned locations and responsibilities.
  • Serve as a positive role model for patients, coworkers, employees, and students.
  • Participate in a continuous learning environment by training others and developing new skills.

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Visio preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Additional Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of audio/visual hardware and web conferencing tools.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
