Job Details

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent with experience supporting the field operations of ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects. This individual will work alongside the Lead Superintendent to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations on a ground-up concrete high-rise multifamily project.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and monitor daily work activities.
  • Help maintain the project schedule and identify potential delays.
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
  • Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and third-party inspectors.
  • Review construction drawings and proactively identify potential field conflicts.
  • Assist with project documentation, daily reports, RFIs, punch lists, and closeout activities.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available to maintain project progress.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer on commercial construction projects.
  • Experience supporting ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, or commercial projects preferred.
  • Exposure to cast-in-place concrete construction is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
