Automation Technician - Libertyville, ILPay: $30.00-$41.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
We are seeking a skilled
Automation Technician to support
injection molding automation, robotics programming, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring
efficient production, high-quality output, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair automation systems including robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems
- Program and optimize molding robots (Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann) for cycle efficiency
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and auxiliary equipment
- Support mold trials, new product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain documentation for programs, maintenance, and system performance
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in injection molding automation or similar environment
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and PLC/HMI experience
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience with robotics and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
