Summary

Job Description

We are seeking a Private Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design and govern enterprise private cloud infrastructure supporting advanced AI workloads, including large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI, running on GPU and accelerated compute platforms.
This role focuses on building scalable, resilient, and cost-effective private cloud environments that meet strict requirements for security, observability, reliability, auditability, and financial accountability. The architect is responsible for defining infrastructure and telemetry standards that ensure platforms are fully observable, operationally ready, and financially transparent at scale.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience operating hybrid data center environments, managing GPU-based platforms, and applying FinOps practices in large, regulated enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and govern private cloud infrastructure architectures optimized for AI and ML workloads.
  • Define standards and reference architectures for hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-prem and private cloud platforms.
  • Architect and oversee GPU and accelerated compute platforms, including cluster design, scheduling, capacity planning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and maintain platform observability and telemetry standards, covering metrics, logs, traces, capacity, cost, and AI serving telemetry.
  • Ensure telemetry is consistently inventoried, collected at appropriate intervals, and retained to support operational, security, and audit requirements.
  • Apply FinOps principles to enable cost visibility, showback/chargeback, unit economics, and infrastructure cost governance.
  • Ensure infrastructure designs support resilience, recovery, and rapid restoration of operational readiness following incidents or maintenance events.
  • Communicate architecture decisions and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, platform engineering, or private cloud engineering in large enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience designing and operating hybrid data center infrastructure, including virtualization, containers, networking, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with GPU and accelerated compute platforms, including capacity planning and operational management.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise observability and telemetry programs.
  • Direct FinOps experience, including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, and infrastructure unit economics.
  • Strong understanding of resilience, recovery, and data retention principles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional
  • Experience supporting AI or ML platforms in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
