Engineering Program Coordinator, Technical Development

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary:

The Engineering Program Coordinator supports the operational effectiveness of Saber Power's Technical Development organization by coordinating planning activities, departmental initiatives, staffing support, training, reporting, and cross-functional communication. Working closely with Technical Development leadership, this role helps organize and execute programs that strengthen engineering capabilities, improve collaboration, and support the continued growth of the engineering organization. The position serves as a central coordination point between Project Development, Technical Infrastructure, Engineering Production, and other business functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate departmental meetings, planning sessions, leadership reviews, and action item tracking across the Technical Development organization.
  • Maintain departmental schedules, staffing plans, initiative trackers, priorities, milestones, and status reporting.
  • Support coordination among Project Development, Technical Infrastructure, Engineering Production, Human Resources, and other departments.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, organizational communications, and planning materials for department leadership.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, technical training sessions, workshops, and internal development programs for engineering personnel.
  • Maintain department procedures, organizational records, training documentation, staffing rosters, and other shared administrative resources.
  • Support recruiting activities by coordinating interviews, candidate communications, onboarding logistics, and new employee integration.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, purchase requests, departmental budgets, and other operational activities.
  • Help monitor departmental performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives supporting Technical Development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Typically 3+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting engineering organizations, technical departments, program coordination, business operations, or project administration.
  • Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and document management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, utility, manufacturing, or industrial organizations.
  • Experience coordinating training programs, onboarding, staffing activities, or organizational development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management software, document management systems, ERP platforms, or engineering information systems.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations, reports, dashboards, or organizational communications.
