Scrum Master

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Oakland, CA that is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery of SAP S/4HANA in a hybrid scaled Agile environment at a leading utility company. This is a high-impact role within a multi-year digital transformation program aimed at modernizing core ERP systems across Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, Human Resources, and Enterprise Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a servant leader for 1-2 cross-functional Agile teams (SAP functional, technical, and business)
* Facilitate all standard Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and empirical delivery
* Navigate hybrid Agile governance, balancing Agile delivery with traditional PMO structures (stage gates, deliverables, RAID logs)
* Support integration with waterfall-driven workstreams such as data migration, testing, and cutover
* Ensure alignment to program increments and release plans
* Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, System Integrators, and SAP consultants to maintain a clear and prioritized backlog
* Facilitate backlog refinement, story sizing, and dependency management
* Coordinate risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies across SAP and legacy systems
* Participate in scaled Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos
* Interface with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Solution Architects, and other Scrum Masters
* Contribute to Agile metrics and reporting (velocity, burndown, team health dashboards)

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise-scale Agile environments
* Scrum Master experience on an ERP program or within an SAP support organization
* Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
* Experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations or major ERP platforms (SAP ECC, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
* Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery models
* Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and traditional SAP project phases
* Experience working in scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe
* Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
* Proficiency with Jira and related Agile delivery tools

Tools & Technology
* Jira for backlog management and team tracking
* Confluence, MS Project, and related collaboration tools
* SAP Activate methodology and Agile integration points
* Coordination with SAP functional leads (FI/CO, MM, PM, SD) and technical leads (Basis, ABAP, PI/PO)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
