Position Overview
The cleint is seeking an experienced IT Low-Code / No-Code (LC/NC) Application Developer/Tester with strong Mendix experience to support a high-profile, time-sensitive software development initiative.
This role will focus on rapidly designing, developing, testing, and implementing secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and be comfortable collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather requirements and translate business needs into Mendix applications.
- Participate in application design sessions and contribute to system architecture, operational improvements, and reporting solutions.
- Analyze existing business processes and document current-state workflows.
- Develop future-state business process documentation, including:
- Business rules
- Process flow diagrams
- Cross-functional and inter-department workflows
- Design, configure, develop, and maintain Mendix applications, including:
- Microflows
- Nanoflows
- Domain models
- UI pages and components
- Data integrations and external data sources
- Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and coordinate testing with business stakeholders.
- Perform application testing, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Support pre-production testing and assist with issue resolution prior to deployment.
- Troubleshoot application defects and participate in ongoing production support.
- Maintain technical documentation throughout development, implementation, and transition phases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and project status meetings.
- Keep the Scrum Master and Project Manager informed of progress, risks, blockers, and deliverables.
- Perform additional development and testing duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing applications using a Low-Code/No-Code platform, with Mendix experience strongly preferred.
- Experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience gathering requirements and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Ability to support high-visibility, time-sensitive application development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing applications using the Mendix platform.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Experience using JIRA for sprint planning, backlog management, and defect tracking.
- Experience working alongside Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams.
- Experience writing SQL Server queries for reporting, validation, and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance standards.
- Experience with automated testing tools and testing methodologies.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Previous experience supporting public-sector or government technology initiatives.
