Title: Business Systems Analyst – Workday
Location: Portland, OR – 100% remote, but need to live in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah or North Dakota Need to work PST hours
Duration: 12 months + (Potential for extension or conversion FT)
Job Description:
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with at least 6+ years of experience and HR Systems specifically Workday experience with modules including Compensation, Payroll, HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Reporting.
Assist with the configuration, testing, data conversion for Workday modules including Compensation, Payroll, HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Reporting.
Primary Job Purpose:
Participates in the daily and project activities associated with the development, enhancement, maintenance, support, and testing of HR Information Systems. Work to ensure flawless execution of deliverables; including, but not limited to the support of absence management, benefits, data analytics, general HR systems/processes, payroll, and reporting. Ensures HR data and system outputs are accurate, timely, and secure.

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
The HR Business Systems Analyst would have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, and a minimum of five to eight years experience defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design, user acceptance testing and/or a combination experience in using programming languages, software tools, and/or a variety of desktop applications.
General Functions and Outcomes:
Define business requirements, model business processes, define functional system design, and conduct acceptance testing.
Provide analysis, consultation, and support to our HR systems.
Delight our customers and business partners by understanding their needs and providing effective and informed solutions, while understanding and advising on internal/external implications.
Develop business cases, business contingency plans, business metrics and measurements, phase documentation, capacity drivers, training materials, new procedures, acceptance test scripts, reporting solutions.
Collaborate with IT in defining and documenting detailed business functional system requirements and in reviewing, analyzing, and approving acceptance test results from conversion, interface and enhancement testing.
Identify and communicate goals, changes, organizational impacts, performance needs, maintenance issues, and new processes.
Perform acceptance regression testing and document test expectations and outcomes at a level of detail that allows research and analysis.
Perform post implementation, quality assurance and troubleshooting. Develop both user and unit technical documentation for project and system enhancements.
Develop SQL, extracts, queries, reports, and dashboards using a variety of systems and programs.
Provide highly informed analysis, consultation, and guidance on system issues.
Provide education, motivation, and development to team members to maximize the capability and strength of our team.
Deploy project management methodologies on small to medium HR projects.
Work Environment:
No unusual working conditions.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
Candidates MUST be willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours.
