Position: Growth Engineer (Tech-Savvy Sales Role)

Role Overview

Zion Cloud Solutions is seeking Growth Engineer who can blend technology understanding with strong relationship-building skills, especially within state government agencies. This role is ideal for professionals who can analyze challenges, identify modernization opportunities, and work directly with senior government leaders to shape transformative solutions.
Candidates must be comfortable using AI tools, identifying use cases, and turning customer pain points into funded initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between agency leadership (CIOs, Directors, PMOs, Procurement) and internal technical teams.
• Understand customer challenges and craft AI-driven modernization solutions.
• Leverage tools such as Gemini, Claude, GPT, Document AI, Looker, Big Query, Power Platform, Dynamics, AWS to create proposals, solution narratives, and prototypes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key state government stakeholders.
• Convert early-stage conversations into funded POCs, pilots, and long-term modernization projects.
• Navigate and utilize statewide procurement vehicles (e.g., TOPS, JPMC) to drive growth.
• Articulate technical capabilities in clear, business-focused language tailored for executive decision-makers.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of cloud, data, CRM, analytics, or workflow modernization.
• Practical hands-on use of AI tools for research, ideation, storytelling, and content generation.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for senior executive audiences.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic narrative skills.
• Experience working independently with state government clients.
• Familiarity with ecosystems such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with state agencies in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, or California.
• Veteran or public-service background.
• Prior experience creating AI prototypes or demos.
• Ability to whiteboard, storyboard, and structure modernization use cases in workshops and executive sessions.
